Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement, endless support, and for following me along this journey. It means a lot to be able to share my adventures with all of you!
Sending big hugs from South East Asia! ❤️ Noah
Petronas Towers - the tallest twin towers in the world!
The lighting and mix of metal and glass help create a truly beautiful aesthetic that put The Petronas Towers up there as some of my favorite buildings I’ve come across!
Federal Territory Mosque - a beautiful blue mosque right outside the city. No shoes, no service!
Batu Cave Temples - known for its colorful stairway leading up to the caves and its giant golden statue at the entrance. Beware of Monkeys who roam the stairs looking for things to snatch from unsuspecting visitors. My Gatorade bottle, unfortunately, fell victim to this “monkey business” 🐒🕵️
After a long ascent, we were greeted by beautiful natural light that enters from the roof of the cave
Merdeka 118 - a massive skyscraper scheduled to be completed at the end of the year, will be the second tallest in the world - juxtaposed next to an old church - very indicative of the “old and new” of this transforming city
I always look forward to getting a haircut in a new country. All the barbers I've had have been super friendly, interesting characters, and I’ve learned a lot from them about the day-to-day life of the local people, political views, and their general outlook on the world. Advik’s barber shop was located directly across from our hotel in Kuala Lumpur. He is originally from the south of India and is married with a 7-month-old son. His wife studied bioengineering and works at Infosys - one o the largest IT outsourcing firms in the world. He showed me his varicose veins in his legs from being on his feet for 16thrs a day - but says he loves what he does and wouldn’t have it any other way ✂️
We were fortunate to find a rooftop bar that used to be a helicopter landing pad, with 360 panoramic views of the whole city! - including views of the Petronis towers, Merdeka 118, and the space needle directly behind us. It also happened to be a full moon that night which was very cool! 🌝 🌇
US-based airlines should take note from Air Asia and their awesome exterior decals and artwork 🐉
One of the benefits of a window seat! About to land on Langkawi island 🏝️
Entrance to Pasir Tengkorak Beach - a tiny, secluded, and absolutely gorgeous beach, also known as Skulls Beach. There was a prison on the Thai Island directly across (about 5km) away and rumor has it that many prisoners who attempted escape were unknowingly greeted by shark-infested waters (no longer the case due to temperature change, lucky for us) and their skulls would wash up along the beach, yikes! 💀
Skulls Beach
Anton and Jackson admiring the beautiful rock formations at Tanjung Rhu beach
Watching The Warriors win the NBA title at a little cafe in Langkawi island at 8 in the morning! (The only place I could find with strong enough wifi to stream the game). I wasn’t going to let a few thousand miles and 12hr time difference get in between me and my Dubs! 🙏🏻🤗
